Five Wedding Dress Trends
TIP: Wear whatever you like. It's YOUR Day.
It is said that the dress is the most important part of the wedding to the bride. It’s a day she’s dreamed about forever and all eyes will be on her so of course she wants to look stunning. It’s only natural. But the old days of long sleeved gowns, cathedral trains and double layered veils are gone. Sure a bride can still choose to follow traditional dress but it is certainly not expected. Nowadays a bride can pretty much do whatever she wants. Here are some of the top trends in wedding gowns.
Plunging necklines
Who said a wedding dress couldn’t show off a little cleavage? Or better yet, for less endowed gals the plunging neckline create a beautiful line and shows off that sexy chest plate of yours. Pair it with a long necklace and you’ll be stunning.
Cocktail length dresses
Not all wedding dresses have to be gowns, and that’s what current trends are proving. Cocktail length makes dancing easier and is still formal but lets a lovely lady show off her great legs and make a statement walking down the aisle.
Open backs
Have a great back? Show it off! Lots of dresses are pushing the limits of “how low can you go” by being completely backless. Now this works best for women with smaller chests but those with larger can still pull this look off, you just need a really good strapless bra.
Color
White is not the only option anymore. Besides from off-white, cream and beige there are tons of gowns with splashes of color. Pick detailing in your wedding colors to remain coordinated or add a bright sash, dangly earrings or a great set of heels and you’ll be sure to stand out among the crowd.
Bubble hems
Gone are all straight edges and figures, the bubble hem is popular now. This design creates a fuller figure for those without one and hides less favorable regions for those who have lots of curves. It’s flattering, fun and sexy all at the same time.
