No Time for Time Limits This is YOUR Day. Nobody is Raining on Your Parade! ALWAYS HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO WILL BE THERE FOR YOUR ENTIRE EVENT! Long before I became a wedding photographer, I was an attendant in a friend's wedding. The wedding was beautiful and my friend and his new wife couldnt have been happier. That is, until we reached the reception. The photographer had hurried us through the production of the posed shots following the ceremony, so everyone was already sweating bullets by the time they reached the event center. Then, the DJ sat everyone down to begin the entertainment. Typical protocol was to make a toast, followed by the dinner, first dance, other dances and then somewhere within the night to cut the cake. Unfortunately, the photographer ruined the night by pushing those events way too quickly in his haste to leave. Cmon you only have me for an hour! He put pressure on the couple and the DJ to hurry through dinner. There was a buffet and while everyone was in the midst of eating, the photographer insisted on the bride and groom completing their dances. I have to leave in a half an hour he said, not caring that this was their day and not his day.
