Other Vendors and Event Photographers

The folks at the reception site that is hosting your function are generally knowledgeable with vendors and photographers in the area. Ask them to list a few favorites. If you call a photographer that is already guideed for your occasion, ask that photographer to give you a referral. Say, Do you know of someone else that I could call? Often times, photographers are friends with each other and network within their own circle.

The best referrals often come from allies in the business. Rather than badmouthing each other as competition, they help each other. And chances are, these are the best referrals because a photographer would not recommend a colleague that they feel would not be worthy of providing the same superior service they would offer themselves.
