How To Choose A Wedding Photographer

A Conductor Who Leads the Orchestra

Understand the Role of Your Photographer. A Real Pro Will Lead Your Wedding in the Right Direction Without Taking Over.

Without a Conductor in the Fine Symphony, There Would be No Music

The role of the photographer is MVP (Most Valuable Photographer). He should be comfortable and able to direct the couple throughout the day, in a firm, yet humorous manner that will appeal to all parties involved. Brides are most nervous before the ceremony, as are grooms. A real professional photographer is a jack of all trades.

He or she is a tireless motivator, psychologist, seamstress, deliverer, delegator, planner and movie director all at the same time. With an amazing eye for details, your photographer should notice any elements like a crooked necklace, squinting, a wilted flower amid the bouquet, or a bug that has flown into the brides wedding gown. Is the grooms tie straight? A photographer must be versatile.

During the formal family session after the reception, the photographers job is to move things along in an organized and effective manner. Notice the word ability. Choose a leader, not a follower. However, there is a difference between leading and bossing. The last thing you need is a photographer that just takes control in a bossy manner and who tries to rush things so he/she can get out of there.
