Wedding Photographer Questions To Ask

Caution! Warning! Red Flags Things to Watch Out For

Beware the double-edged swords of too much and too little experience.

Watch out for photographers who have been in the business too long. There is high burnout after 10 years. This is not to say that a photographer with over 10 years experience is not a good candidate. On the contraire, he may be the best candidate. But when you meet with someone whos been in the business that long, look for their mannerisms. Do their eyes light up when they talk about your wedding or about their job?

Is there a sense of enthusiasm?

Complacency occurs in every profession, especially in a job that is high pressure such as event photography. Look for someone who is passionate about what they do and who takes pride in the assignment.

On the other hand you should also be wary of someone with too little experience. While this person might be more affordable, there is a reason for it. They could be a beginning photographer and be prone to errors. Don't let a rookie ruin your prized moments.
