Choosing A Wedding Photographer

Digital vs. Film

Which is Better?

Film cameras are becoming as extinct as the dinosaurs. While the quality remains high, the inconveniences and rapid technological advancements of the digital era have become the new standard in the photography industry. Each year new cameras with more megapixels and faster shutter speeds are introduced, almost as fast as the advancement of new fuel- efficient vehicles and smaller and smaller cell phones. But, does that mean that digital is better?

It used to be the difference between professional and mediocre was the photographer who owned the most expensive equipment. Large and medium format cameras were considered to be high quality, whereas 35mm. cameras were of medium to passable quality.

Anything less than that, such as a point and shoot camera, was unacceptable for professional use and was considered more or less a hobbyist or tourist camera. If you didnt have a Hassleblad or a Rolei, you were revered to be just an average photographer. Only the big shots could afford those cameras.
